Wendy Cruz, MD, FACOG
Dr. Cruz, earned her Medical Degree in 2000 at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon, after growing up in Anchorage; she completed her residency in 2004 at St. Paul University Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Following her residency, Dr. Cruz began practicing at Women’s Care of Alaska, and is now a partner with Dr. Wynd Counts. Dr. Cruz is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and she has been Board Certified through the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists since 2006. Most recently, the designation Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology (COEMIG) was bestowed upon her, by the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists. She is an active Member of the American Medical Association, the Alaska State Medical Association, the Society of Alaska Robotic Surgeons, the Society of Robotic Surgeons, the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists and our Local Medical Society. Dr. Cruz has also served as the Department Chair of OB/GYN at Alaska Regional Hospital.
