Winifred Koehler, MSN, WHNP-C
Wendy joined the team at Women’s Care of Alaska, in November of 2018. She was born and raised on the West Coast of Florida, and entered the Air Force after finishing high school. She got married and started a family, then attended Arizona State University, where she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing, in 1995. Wendy then rejoined the Air Force as a nurse, working in Medical Surgery until finding her passion in Labor and Delivery, caring for women and babies. In 2004, she earned her Masters in Nursing at the University of Washington, Seattle, graduating Cum Laude. The military brought her to Alaska and the entire family fell in love with it, so after retiring from the Air Force, they all moved back to the great state. Prior to joining Women’s Care of Alaska, Wendy spent five years as Lead Clinician with Planned Parenthood of the Greater Northwest, where she was the colposcopy provider for all four clinics. Wendy and her family love fishing, camping, and just enjoying life in Alaska. .
