A graduate of Creighton University School of Medicine, Dr. van Haastert completed both her medical degree and her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Creighton. Her broad clinical interests include routine and high-risk obstetrics, infertility evaluation and treatment, contraceptive counseling, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, menopause management, and adolescent gynecology.
Dr. van Haastert believes in creating a supportive environment where her patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make informed decisions about their health. She values open communication and takes time to build trusting, long-term relationships with the women and families she serves.
When she’s not in the clinic, in a delivery or the operating room, Dr. van Haastert enjoys spending time with family, exploring Alaska’s great outdoors, and staying active in her community. She is honored to provide exceptional women’s healthcare as part of the Women’s Care of Alaska team.
