Katie joined Women’s Care of Alaska in 2010. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, and worked in pediatrics, maternal/child medicine and labor and delivery, before pursuing her FNP education. Katie received her Master’s Degree from a community-based nurse midwifery and family nursing education program, at Frontier Nursing University, where she became a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Katie loves caring for women and promoting wellness during major life transitions including adolescence, pregnancy, and menopause. She especially loves helping women grow their families in a supportive environment and helping to guide them through any challenges they face. She is trained in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility and is an active member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. While there are no reproductive endocrinologists currently in Alaska, she provides patients with fertility workups and infertility treatments such as ovulation induction and intrauterine insemination (IUI).
