Carolann Weir, CPC
Carolann has been with Women’s Care of Alaska, since the practice opened in 1994, with one physician, one nurse, and two members of a support staff. Today, Women’s Care is an amazing group of twenty women, consisting of physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and support staff; it has been an incredible journey. Carolann left Alaska after high school in 1986, and in 1990, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, from Arizona State University. In 1992, she married, moved back to Alaska, and began working as an Accounts Receivable and Collections Manager, for a family practice clinic in Homer; shortly after her oldest son was born. In 1997, Carolann became a Certified Professional Coder and continues to maintain her certification through the American Academy of Professional Coders. Carolann’s goal is to ensure that the providers and staff of Women’s Care, consistently set the bar high, when it comes to the quality of healthcare and compassion, for the women of Alaska; working together as a team, and providing a warm and welcoming environment, where patients feel secure, knowing they are the priority.
